History was made as AMSSRN Enugu and District Society; the pioneer district was Launched-off on the 19th of May, 2022. The occasion set the Association on a unique path to the Glory of God as AMSSRN also launched Port Harcourt & District in rapid succession on the 26th of June, 2022( Details of PH District & Society in future bulletins).
The Ceremony was held at the IMT Enugu International Conference Centre, Independence Layout Enugu.
The event saw the Investiture of Dr Sylvester Ike Ejike, FAMSSRN, CNA, a fellow of the Association and Director in the Office of the Accountant General of Enugu State cum lecturer at ESUT as the Pioneer Chairman of District.
The Executive Committee was also inaugurated to pilot the affairs with him.
She performed the Investiture/ inauguration, the National President of AMSSRN Assoc. In her speech, Prof Uche L. Onyekwelu, PhD, FAMSSRN, FCA, ACTI, FFAR, implored the Chairman and EXCO to further deepen the mission and vision of AMSSRN at the grassroots through programmes that align with the Association’s views. She prayed and wished them well as they join AMSSRN National in propelling goal-driven research, scholarship and mentorship in Nigeria and the globe.
No mean person chaired the occasion but Dr Ferdinand Ike Anikwe, one-time Commissioner in Enugu State and former DirectorCentre for African Arts and Culture and presently the Director of Arts and Culture Centre of the Godfrey Dignitaries Okoye University, Thinkers Corner Enugu.
Other dignitaries present at the occasion were the Former Vice Chancellor of Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Prof Ikechukwu Chidobem, Professor Titus Enugu, and the former Director of Studies, ESUT Business School.
Professor Josephat Onwumere, PhD, FAMSSRN, the Director of UNN Business School and Dr Mrs Vero Mogbo( AMSSRN National Matron), Sir, C. C. Igbokwe are also Fellows of the Association.
The occasion also saw Prof T. O. Enudu deliver the 3rd Public Lecture of the Association.
The occasion also saw new members’ induction while selected public members were endowed with the AMSSRN Distinguished Merits award for excellence in diverse fields. Prof Nwakoby the current VC of Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu University, Prof Ik. Chidobem, Prof. T. O Enudu, Sir. Remigius Odoh, FAMSSRN, Accountant General of Enugu State, Dr Mrs Vero Mogboh, Comrade, Sir C. C Igbokwe, among others, were the recipients.
The Chairman of AMSSRN Induction and Merits Award Committee, Dr Lawrence U. Okoye, Dr Azuka Nwobodo(Deputy National Chairman, Membership Mobilization Committee), Dr Blessing Agbo, Dr Ijeoma Orjiakor, Dr John Agana, Dr Chinedu Onyia, Dr Gabriel Anidiobu, Dr Chinelo Obiekwe, Dr Duru Ann, Dr Chinyere Onyejiaku, Dr Amb. Mrs. Ifeoma Ihegboro, Sir. Bona, Odenigbo, Sir . Chief Emeritus Okwo, among other members, were on hand to welcome the guests.
